On July 26, 2022, we paid homage to the 1-year anniversary of Guruhari Hariprasad Swamishree leaving His mortal body. There was a kirtan aradhana held at Harisumiran Mandir, in which devotees sang devotional kirtans in tribute to Swamishree. During the kirtan aradhana, a smurti darshan video was played in parallel, which brought back cherished old smurtis from Swamishree’s vicharans.
For this first Guruhari Smruti Parva, we were blessed to have the presence of P. Guruprasadswami and P. Satyaswaroopswami. P. Guruprasadswami spoke about how we can truly live according to Swamishree’s wishes in order to please Him.
The Guruhari Smruti Parva gave all the devotees an opportunity to see how many lives Swamishree has enriched and to reflect on the role He has played in our own lives. He was a father, a friend, a teacher, and so much more, but most importantly he was the guardian of our soul.
The evening ended with a special moment. Perhaps the greatest gift Swamishree left for us is the refuge of Guruhari Prabodhswamiji. To a thunderous applause, a radiating and divine murti of Guruhari Prabodhswamiji was unveiled by Thakorji. It was truly a memorable and historic occasion, which ended with Shayan Aarti and dessert for everyone.
